Where Sue's Swim School started

Where we began...

Founded in 1982 at Princess Alice pool. As the years went on, lessons were conducted at Perry Common, Fairfax School, Cardinal Wiseman, Streetly School, Jospeh Leckie and now Nehwall and Whitehouse Common.

Now, 37 years on and after the passing of Sue in 2018, her legacy is carried on by her two sons, Andrew, a qualified swimming instructor and school teacher and Matt, who grew up with the swimming from a young age, with an excellent team of instructors that have been a part of the family for as long as 25 years, the swim school continues to grow from strength to strength.

Our Vision

Every child and adult deserves the chance to learn to swim.

We endeavour to meet the child's individual needs to ensure the best class we can teach. We have extremely high expectations of our team and they do not disappoint.

Continued development

At Sue's Swim School, we promote staff to share good practice activities. This ensures our experienced staff are up-skilled with new practices as well as allowing our helpers to gain experience and methods of teaching from working with more experienced staff.

Speciality training

Some of our staff have gained extra experience and awards in chosen areas such as lifesaving, working with SEN children, competitive swimming, working with adults.
