Pathway 6
Building strength, control and confidence
Pathway 6 is designed for confident, independent swimmers who are ready to refine their technique and begin swimming over longer distances with consistency and control.
Teaching takes place from poolside, allowing children to swim independently while still receiving clear instruction, demonstrations and encouragement throughout each lesson. Support remains structured and focused, helping swimmers progress safely and confidently.

Each swimmer is supported at their own pace, with clear feedback and reassurance throughout.

Swimmers in Pathway 6 work towards:

Goldfish 1 and Goldfish 2 (skills awards)

25 metre distance award
These awards recognise confident swimming, improved technique and the ability to swim longer distances with control and endurance.
